Rose Quartz

Rose quartz is the pink variety of quartz. It usually forms as solid masses rather than crystals, and its colour comes from microscopic mineral fibres within the quartz. Brazil and Madagascar are key sources.

Varieties and Trade Names

Pink quartz that forms as clear, distinct crystals is much rarer and is sold as crystalline rose quartz. Purple rose quartz and lavender quartz are trade names for lilac-pink quartz, and the colour source can vary between suppliers.
