Collection: Aquamarine

Aquamarine is the pale blue to green-blue variety of beryl, the same mineral as emerald. Its colour comes from traces of iron, and most commercial aquamarine is a light, slightly greenish blue.

Varieties and Trade Names

The deepest blue material from Brazil is sold as Santa Maria aquamarine. Much of the clear blue aquamarine used in fine jewellery has been heated to remove yellow tones. Bead and chip material is usually more milky and opaque, but it is the same mineral.

PureTrade Gems supplies wholesale aquamarine to UK shops, market traders and other trade buyers.
