Collection: Goldstone

Goldstone is a man-made glass, not a natural stone. The classic reddish brown goldstone gets its sparkle from tiny copper crystals that form as the glass cools slowly.

Varieties and Trade Names

Blue goldstone uses cobalt instead of copper, which gives it a deep blue colour with a starry sparkle. Green and purple versions use other metal compounds. It is also known as aventurine glass, monk's gold or stellaria.

PureTrade Gems supplies wholesale goldstone to UK shops, market traders and other trade buyers.
