Collection: Larvikite

Larvikite is an igneous rock from around the town of Larvik in southern Norway. It contains large feldspar crystals that show a silver-blue shimmer when polished.

Varieties and Trade Names

It is widely used as a building and cladding stone, sold under quarry names such as Blue Pearl and Emerald Pearl. In jewellery it is also sold as Norwegian moonstone and black labradorite, although it is neither true moonstone nor labradorite.

PureTrade Gems supplies wholesale larvikite to UK shops, market traders and other trade buyers.
