Collection: Prehnite

Prehnite is a calcium aluminium silicate, usually a soft pale green to yellow-green. It typically forms rounded, bubbly masses lining cavities in volcanic rock.

Varieties and Trade Names

It was one of the first minerals named after a person, Hendrik von Prehn. Prehnite from Mali and Australia often contains dark green needles of epidote, which is sold as prehnite with epidote.

PureTrade Gems supplies wholesale prehnite to UK shops, market traders and other trade buyers.
