Collection: Rhodonite

Rhodonite is a manganese silicate with a pink to red colour. Its name comes from the Greek for rose. The black veins running through it are manganese oxide formed by weathering.

Varieties and Trade Names

It is often confused with rhodochrosite, which is also pink but is a softer carbonate mineral with white rather than black banding.

PureTrade Gems supplies wholesale rhodonite to UK shops, market traders and other trade buyers.
