Collection: Sodalite

Sodalite is a sodium-rich mineral known for its deep royal blue colour, usually with white veins or patches of calcite. It is sometimes called poor man's lapis, but unlike lapis it rarely contains gold pyrite flecks.

Varieties and Trade Names

Many sodalites glow orange under UV light. Hackmanite is a variety that can change colour in sunlight. Yooperlite, which has its own collection, is a rock containing fluorescent sodalite. Blue Dot Sodalite is our supplier's name for their sodalite.

PureTrade Gems supplies wholesale sodalite to UK shops, market traders and other trade buyers.
